The day in the life of

This is a day in the life of a Korean student , Dong Hyun

Today I woke up at 8.00 and prepared to go to work leaving at 9.00am. I work in a kitchen in an English pub and normally catch the bus there, which usually takes me an hour.

I normally work 20 hours per week with the weekends off. At the weekends I go to church or have picnics with my friends from the church. I love it!

When I start working the kitchen is extremely hot though the weather outside is not! I have my break at 11.50am and during my break I chat with my mate Jim from Australia. I like him, as he’s my best friend at the pub so chatting with him always makes me happy.

After finishing work at 3.00pm I go to school at Avalon where my classes start at 4.30 and finish at 7.30pm. I’m having such a great time as I feel that my English ability is continually improving and my teachers are great!

When I finally go home I go into Sainsburys (supermarket) to buy some food for my supper, which is quite nice. Normally after that I have a shower and then settle down in front of the TV for an hour.
After that it’s time to study for my lessons. Sometimes I’m too tired to study but tonight my class was particularly difficult and so I want to make sure that I understand it tomorrow!

After a couple of hours of study it’s finally off to bed!
