Erica Thurbon from UKBA will be running these seminars that will take place on 17th May 2012.

If you would like to attend the web-seminar, please register here and complete a questionnaire here. Once you have registered, the British Council will confirm your place and send you further details about how to login.

All you need to take part is a computer with internet access and a phone. You can take part from wherever you are based. Two sessions will run to cater for different time-zones.

The anniversary of his death, which is on April 23, is seen as England’s national day. According to legend, he was a soldier in the Roman army who killed a dragon and saved a princess.

Although this is not a public holiday, some people take the day off work. Flags with the image of St George’s cross are flown on some buildings, especially pubs, and a few people wear a red rose on their lapel.

Trafalgar Square will be transformed into a beautiful English garden for a free outdoor festival to celebrate St George’s Day on Saturday 21st April.
