Quantum English is our biggest success. Students recommend Avalon to their friends, because unlike other schools, we include 2 lessons of speaking in our General English courses every day. That’s almost 10 hours per week just speaking and listening.

In a Quantum class your teacher corrects your grammar and pronunciation quickly and suggests extra vocabulary so that you can make perfect sentences every time.

Specialist Football Course

English + Football Training is an exciting new course for players aged 16+ who want to improve their skills and study English at the same time. Mornings are spent football training followed by English classes in the afternoon. Competitive matches, kit and trial sessions are included. Any level of football ability and English level is accepted. If you are a talented player you’ll have the opportunity to play in front of scouts searching for semi-professional and professional players. The football course is run by a UEFA ‘B’ football coach who works with Arsenal and a women’s university team.
There are 3 courses a year: Spring (18 weeks), Summer (18 weeks) and Winter (30 weeks).

Fun socialising together

Social Events are a big part of our student life. Not all adult colleges offer a full programme of social events but Avalon believes that having lots to do can really make a difference to your enjoyment of London. Our events programme includes; visits to museums and cultural attractions, parties in nightclubs, boat parties, pub nights, quizzes, trips outside of London and weekend trips to Paris and Amsterdam.

Our students enjoy free self-study materials from Avalon Academy. All Avalon students have a password to our online self-study site. Going to Film Club with one of our teachers? Young Learner Groups

Avalon School of English offers adult courses (18+). Special arrangements can be made for younger learners. Please email info@avalonschool.co.uk if you wish to enrol a group of younger learners.
