AQE is our speaking course developed over the last 20 years by our team at our London flagship school. In contrast to other schools or methods of learning English, AQE is a practical methodology which focuses on spoken production and active use of language in a natural way.
Classes are composed of 2 x 50 minute lessons (the first is Revision, the second is New Work) with a 10 minute break in between.
Classes take place 09:30 – 11:20; 12:30 – 14:20; and 15:30 – 17:20
In addition to AQE, students also have the option of taking General English. Whereas AQE focuses on spoken production, these classes also practise Reading, Writing, and Listening as well as boosting Grammar and Vocabulary. These classes use traditional course-books found on the market.
Classes take place 11:30 – 13:20; and 14:30 – 15:20
To prepare students for using English at University or their job, we also offer exam classes. We run IELTS preparation classes all year round. IELTS is administered by Cambridge English (Part of the University of Cambridge) and is the most popular English Language qualification in the world. The cost of the exam depends on the centre but is around £160.
For people who work, study, or need to take care of children we offer weekday classes on a part-time timetable (either 6 or 9 lessons a week on days convenient for you) as well as Saturday classes between 10:30 and 13:30.
Trinity’s Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE) are assessments of speaking and listening skills with a Trinity examiner. Preparation for these exams and getting recognised qualifications is ideal for students who want to develop their proficiency in English language speaking - for personal goals, study, travel, employment, settlement or for visa application purposes. We offer preparation classes 2:30-3:20 at various levels. Perfect to combine with an AQE class! More information is available on the Trinity site: GESE exams
