Airport pickup
Avalon can arrange for you to be picked up at the airport and taken to
your accommodation. This service costs from £50 from Heathrow and from
£60 from all other airports (e.g. Gatwick, Stansted, London City and Luton).
Making your own way.
You can travel from the airport on your own to the centre of London quiet
easily.
Heathrow
Heathrow Express: Take the express train to Paddington Station, which
costs £13 (one way) and is a 15-minute journey.
The Tube: Take Underground
(Piccadilly Line) eastbound towards the city. It takes approximately 1
hour to Leicester Square and cost £3.70
Airbus: The Airbus service leaves every 30 minutes from the airport, goes
to Russell Square and costs approximately £10.
Gatwick
Gatwick Express Train: Take the Gatwick Express Train to Victoria Station.
Trains leave every 15 minutes and cost approximately £18.00 (one way).
Gatwick Shuttle: Coaches run regularly between Gatwick and Victoria Station
and cost approximately £6 for a one-way journey.
Other London airports
City Airport Shuttle Bus: Get the shuttle bus that goes to Canning Town
and change and join the Jubilee Line train. This will take you into central
London.
Stansted Express Train: The Stansted Express goes from the airport to
Liverpool Street Station and costs approximately £14.00.
