Transport publiczny jest najlepszym środkiem przemieszczania się w Londynie. Miasto podzielone jest na sześć stref. Cena biletu autobusowego i na metro zależy od strefy zamieszkania. Autobusy w Londynie kursują od godziny 6 rano do północy. Po godzinie
24 usługi świadczą autobusy nocne oznaczone literą N. Metro kursuje od
ok. 5.30 rano do 24.30 w ciągu tygodnia. Nieco dłużej kolejka metra jest
dostępna w soboty i niedziele.
Zniżki studenckie
Studenci powyżej 18 roku życia uczący się na kursach w wymiarze przynajmniej
15 godzin tygodniowo, uprawnieni są do 30% zniżki na przejazdy środkami

Telefony komórkowe
Osoby, które zamierzają zostać w Wielkiej Brytanii na dłużej mogą korzystać
z telefonów komórkowych z kraju pochodzenia. W celu otrzymania numeru
angielskiego konieczna jest wymiana tzw. karty SIM. Karta dostępna jest
w rejestrowanych punktach sprzedaży, gdzie do nabycia są także telefony

Urzędy pocztowe otwarte są w godzinach 9.00 – 17.00 od poniedziałku do piątku. Niektóre z nich są czynne także w soboty. Znaczki można nabyć również w kioskach (newsagents) oraz w supermarketach.
